Colorectal Cancer Risk & Decision Making Study -The University of Arizona --College of Nursing

About the Study:

Study Purpose

  • To help us better understand
    • What it is like to be at risk for colon or rectal cancer
    • How being at risk may affect your health care decisions


Who can participate?

  • 21 years or older with a personal history of one of the following:
    • Colon or rectal cancer or polyps
    • Family history of colon or rectal cancer or polyps
    • Inflammatory bowel disease
    • Gene mutation associated with hereditary colon or rectal cancer
    • Women diagnosed with cancer of the uterus (womb) or ovary before age 60

What does the study involve?

  • Being interviewed by telephone once or twice
  • Each interview will last about 45 to 60 minutes
  • Participants may be eligible to be compensated for their time
